Overview of Manual Configuration

This section provides a verbal summary of manually configuring a session. For more information, refer to the Related Topics at the end of this section.

Manual Configuration

  1. Open the Configuration window.

  1. Select the Sessions tab.

  2. Select the desired folder where the new session will be created.

  3. Press the Manual button.

  4. In the Connection Method dialog, select the connection method.

The available connections are SSH, rexec, rsh, rlogin, command, telnet, and XDMCP.

  1. In the New Session dialog, name the session and enter the general connection information: interface.

  2. If necessary, enter the advanced information: diagnostics, security and session specific modes.

In most cases, the default settings are sufficient.

  1. The new session is then listed in the Sessions window.

In step 6 and step 7 above, the requested information is specific to the connection method.
