This section provides an example of manually configuring a session with the SSH connection.
Open the Configuration window and then open the Connect Method. See Start Manual Configuration.
In the Connection Method window, highlight XDMCP, and then press the Next button.
The New Session (xdmcp) window opens.
Enter the Session Name, and select the XDMCP mode.
If Query or Indirect is selected, entering Host will be required.
If Broadcast is selected, entering Host will not be required - the text box will be grayed out, as shown below.
If multiple monitors are connected to your workstation, you can select which monitor to display the XDMCP connection. More than one XDMCP connection can be delivered to one monitor.
If more than one monitor is being used, it is recommended to include the monitor number in the Session Name as illustrated below.
For more information about these parameters, see Configuration Guidelines.
Press the Save button.
The new session is now available in the Session window.
To view the basic configuration of the session, place the mouse over the desired session in the list.
At this point, the session can be launched. If an error occurs while launching the session, information can be viewed in the log file. For more information, see About Launch Sessions.
