XDMCP

This section provides an example of using Wizard to configure a session with the XDMCP connection.

Configuring XDMCP with Wizard

1. Open the X-Win32 Configuration window, then select Wizard. See Start Wizard Configuration.

2. In the Session Wizard window, highlight XDMCP, enter the name for this session, then press the Next button.

3. In the next Session Wizard window, select the XDMCP connection method.

• If Query is selected, press the Next Button.

• If Broadcast is selected, the host will not have to be entered - proceed to step 5.

4. In the next Session Wizard window, enter the host to which the session will connect.

5. Press the Finish button.

The new session is now available in the Session window.

6. To view the basic configuration of the session, place the mouse over the desired session in the list.

At this point the session can be launched. If an error occurs while launching the session, information can be viewed in the log file. For more information, see About Launch Sessions.
