This section provides an example of using Wizard to configure a session with the rsh connection.

Configuring rsh with Wizard

  1. Open the Configuration window and then open the Connect Method. See Start Manual Configuration.

  2. In the Session Wizard window, highlight rsh, enter the name for this session, then press the Next button.

 

 

  1. In the next Session Wizard window, enter the host and press the Next button.

 

  1. In the next Session Wizard window, enter your Login name to access the host, and press the Next button.

 

With the rsh connection, a password is not required - the Password text box is grayed out.

  1. In the next Session Wizard window, enter the DISPLAY command, or select it from the list in the text window. This example selects a Linux command from the text window.

  2. Press the Finish button.

 

The new session now appears in the Session window.

 

  1. To view the basic configuration of the session, place the mouse over the desired session in the list.

At this point the session can be launched. If an error occurs while launching the session, information can be viewed in the log file. For more information, see About Launch Sessions.
