How to make X-Win32 start automatically when Windows is started
X-Win32 can be configured to start automatically when you login to Windows via the simple steps below:
- Open the Start Menu in Windows
- Navigate to the X-Win32 folder (e.g. X-Win32 6.1, X-Win32 7.1, etc.)
- Press and hold the Ctrl key and left-click on the X-Win32 entry in the folder
- Drag the X-Win32 entry (with the Ctrl_key held down) into the _Startup folder on the Start Menu
- Release the left mouse button
- Release the Ctrl key
- The X-Win32 shortcut should now be copied to the Startup folder, which will cause X-Win32 to startup when you login to Windows
NOTE: If you do not press and hold the Ctrl key, then the X-Win32 shortcut will be moved instead of copied. If you do this accidentally, just move it back to the X-Win32 folder, then perform the operation again, this time ensuring that Ctrl is held down during the move and it only released after the left mouse button is released.
