X-Win32 Ranked BEST PC X Server!

X-Win32 was rated as the industrys BEST PC X server in the most
comprehensive and objective review of leading PC X servers in more than
five years. The lab test of nine leading PC X servers was performed by
Real World Labs, the product test unit within CMP Media Inc., a leading
high-tech media company with more than 40 high-tech trade magazines. The
results were published in the German edition of Network Computing Magazine
(June 14 issue). You can view the full

Each PC X server was subjected to a battery of tests
on four platforms: Solaris 8, AIX 4.3.2, SCO Unixware 7.1.1 and Linux 2.2.
All tests were performed in both Single and Multiple Windows modes. See
results of the test in the "Report Card" below.X-Win32 ranked
highest in four of seven key performance areas and second in two more.
X-Win32 achieved the highest overall rating of 4.5 out of a maximum of 5
points. X-Win32 ranked first in the top three categories; Installation,
Functionality, and Ease-of-Use, accounting for 60% of the test. It also
ranked first in the area of Configurability and Overall. X-Win32 ranked
second in both Price and Performance.
X-Win32s only low score (3.5) was in the area of
"Tools," peripheral functions such as NFS and FTP clients that
are shipped with other PC X servers. Since our strategy has always been to
keep the product simple and focused on the PC X server function, which is
what most users are really interested in, this was actually another plus
for X-Win32.At a cost that is 30 to 60 percent lower than other products
with much lower performance rankings, X-Win32 clearly provides the best
value, especially when you take into account that network licenses (6 or
more) for X-Win32 are concurrent! Other PC X servers are sold on a
per-seat basis.
