Recon-X

|
Known Limitations

Currently, there are a couple of issues and functional limitations,
including:
- Background Processing:
The ability to start a job before going home,
Suspend the session, turn off your PC and have the finished results after
rebooting the PC in the morning will be made available in the second release
scheduled for November/December.
- Multiple Window Mode support.
Also scheduled for the next release is the
ability to open individual (rootless) windows and run remote applications in
those windows. This will further improve performance over VPN and Internet
connections because the desktop typically consumes a considerable amount of
bandwidth.
- Reflection X problem.
We have seen that when using Reflection-X with the
Recon-X client, keyboard entries are not showing up. At this time we do not
yet know if this is a Reflection X bug or a Recon-X bug. Other PC X servers
do not have this problem. StarNet will provide free use of X-Win32 to
Reflection-X customers until this issue is resolved.
- Multiple Instances of Exceed.
Because Exceed does not handle multiple
sessions, Recon-X will auto-start a new instance of Exceed for each server
you are connecting to with Exceed.
