To Test Recon-X, Please Follow These Steps:

  1. If you have X-Win32 or Hummingbird Exceed installed as you PC X server, simply boot Recon-X. It will auto-launch these PC X servers. If you use any other PC X server, simply start this product manually, then booth the Recon-X client. (If you do not have any PC X server installed, download the trial version of X-Win32 from the StarNet Web site.)

  2. In both of the above cases, you will see that the Recon-X client will try to connect to a remote session you have set up on a remote host.

  3. If you have not yet set up a Recon-X session on the tutorial server, see Session Set-Up instructions below.

  4. When Recon-X has made a successful connection to the remote host, the status indicator will switch to "Green" and the "Start" option will be highlighted. Simply click on Start.

  5. Depending on your network speed and session configuration, Recon-X will launch a Gnome, KDE or CDE session and the X desktop will appear momentarily. When it does, you can just go to work on the X desktop. It is really that simple
