This section provides an overview about sessions.
Sessions provide a connection to a remote host, which allows you to access applications and information that are not available on your local workstation. The sessions can be shared or private.
The interface of using applications through the host are through the input, such as mouse or keyboard, and the window display manager. For more information, see About Input and About Window.
Sessions can be stored anywhere on the Windows system. Users with administrator privileges can create, edit, and rename sessions under shared folders that can be seen by all users on the system. Any user can start a session under a Shared folder. Passwords stored under Shared Sessions can be made available to any user on the system to log in to the system using the Share Password Option in the advanced tab of the session.
Due to the accessibility of data, for security reasons the following protocols are strongly recommended.
Do not save a password or another other information that should not be accessible to others under Shared Sessions.
Do not use your email address, or other information that could lead to compromise, as your user ID.
Shared sessions should only be created by administrators and placed in Read Only folders on the system.
My Sessions are private - the data is only accessible the current user. My Sessions is commonly used when creating new sessions for a user. Sessions that you would like to have start up when you run X-Win32 should be placed in a folder called Autostart in the My Sessions folder. For more information see Autostart.
