Keyboard not working on AIX systems

When many operating systems were first being developed, computer hardware had not yet been standardized. Many keyboards did not have certain modifier keys which are now found regularly on the keyboard. Thus when these keys became standard, the operating systems had to find a new way to deal with them, and each operating system handled the keyboard modifier differently.

If you launch X-Win32 and notice that your keyboard is not working (this happens most notably when connecting to IBM AIX systems) please do the following.

1. Shut down X-Win32
2. Open X-Config
3. Click On the Input Tab
4. Check the Emulate Numlock box
5. Press Apply
6. Restart X-Win32
