Where are my sessions located
Version 8 and later has now made it simple to copy and transfer sessions from one computer to another by storing each session in its own .xw32 file.
Version 8.2 and 9.X
My Sessions
In X-Config, sessions/subfolders which are found under the “My Sessions” folder are located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\StarNet\X-Win32\Sessions\
“My Sessions” are local to the current user only. He can add/remove/modify sessions as he pleases.
Shared Sessions
Shared Sessions can now be located in any path on the computer.
- Open X-Config
- Click on the Sessions Tab
- Press the “Session Path +”
- Browse to the folder containing the sessions
- Give the folder a Name for X-Config
Sessions will now show up in X-Config.
Version 8.1 and below
X-Win32 sessions are located in two sections.
In X-Config, sessions/subfolders which are found under the “Shared Sessions” folder are located here:
C:\Program Files\StarNet\X-Win32 8.X\Sessions\
In X-Config, sessions/subfolders which are found under the “My Sessions” folder are located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\StarNet\X-Win32\Sessions\
Note that “Shared Sessions” are available to be used by any user of the system. This is good for administrators who want to set up all the sessions before deploying X-Win32 to the rest of the department. Limited users will not be able to modify these files.
“My Sessions” are local to the current user only. He can add/remove/modify sessions as he pleases.
