FastX CPU Usage
FastX Sessions use CPU to compress and send data over the net as quickly as possible. This generally creates a better user experience for the end users. However, there are cases where other applications will compete for resources and FastX needs to be adjusted accordingly. FastX has an option to limit the Max CPU a FastX session will consume
- Higher CPU percentage if you want smoother graphics
- Lower CPU percentage if you want more cpu available to your other applications
Changing CPU percentage
- Log in to the FastX Web interface as an administrator
- Click the System Configuration Icon
- Click Profiles
- Select a profile
- Change Limit a session’s maximum %CPU usage accordingly
- Save the Configuration
New sessions will have the maximum CPU percentage set
You can also change this manually in the session.json file
