Indirect Sessions

Indirect Sessions are a method to use FastX to connect to systems where the FastX server is not installed. Indirect Sessions utilize ssh to automatically Connect you to your remote system on Launch

Installation and Configuration

  1. Install the FastX Server on a Gateway system connected to the outside network and your internal machines
  2. Connect to the Gateway using FastX
  3. Start a new session > New: ssh -X username@remote_host remote_command

When you connect you will automatically connect to the second host where you can log in from there.

To bring up the full desktop, replace the remote_command with gnome-session, startkde, or Xsession
