Installing a self-signed certificate on Chrome

Chrome will reject connections with self-signed certificates by default. In order to connect to FastX via the web with Chrome when using a self-signed certificate follow these instructions. Remember self-signed certificates should only be used when testing FastX. Trusted SSL certificates should be used during production.

  1. Open Chrome
  2. Navigate to your FastX server webpage e.g. https://server.example.com:3443
  3. Chrome will display a warning prompt. Click “Advanced”

  4. Click “Proceed to server.example.com (unsafe)”

  5. Your certificate should now be installed and you can continue testing FastX
