X-Win32 8, 9 and 2010
Licenses are stored in a file called license.config making it easier for users to obtain their actual licenses and to transfer Floating licenses from one user to another.
A license monitor was implemented in version 8.2 which allows the user to gather information about his licenses directly from X-Win32 itself.
- Start X-Win32
- Right Click on the System Tray icon > Support > Licenses
- Highlight the My Licenses or Shared Licenses menu to view the location of your license.config file
- Expand the menu to view your installed licenses. The license with the (*) next to it is the current license in use.
Node Locked
The license for a Node Locked license is located to the right of the VN label
Floating
Floating licenses are hundreds of characters long and cannot fit into the License Monitor Window.
- In the License monitor highlight the My Licenses or Shared Licenses menu to view the location of your license.config file
- Click on the link to the right to go to the containing folder
- Open the license.config file in notepad
