FastX 4 Client Session Manager
After connecting to the FastX server with the desktop client, a session manager will be displayed. This will display a user’s active session.

Start an Application
Click on the + button to launch an application.

A list of icons will appear with preconfigured applications. Double click on an application to launch the session. Administrators can create global applications by going into the Admin Settings.

Favorites
Users can favorite applications which will create a favorites group. Single click an application and then click on the heart icon and select favorite.

Note:
- Applications that are favorite will display as a favorite after closing and starting a new application.
- Favorites will be the default group displayed once created. Users can click through applications on the right of the applications.
Changing Application view
Users can remove the applications group list and application field to give a bigger display of their applications.

To change the application field, click on the ticket icon on the top right of the application window.

To change the application field, click on the terminal icon on the right of the application window.

Session Manager
Grid or List Mode
Users can change the active session mode from grid to list by selecting the three vertical lines icon on the right.

Reconnecting to Application
The session manager with display current active sessions on the FastX server. Double clicking on a running application to reconnect to the session.
Active Applications Options
In the session manager, users can choose options of active sessions running on the FastX server. (These options are also under the Sessions dropdown on the top)
In grid mode, single click on the active session. Then click on the 3 dot icon to display the options.

In list mode, single click on the active session. Then click on the 3 dot icon to display the options.

Options
- Info – Provides general information about the session from the FastX server
- Sharing – Not implemented in the Desktop Client
- Parameters – Provides general information from the client
- Disconnect – Disconnects the session that is connected to a FastX server. The session is still active on the server when disconnected.
- Purge – Purges sessions that are not connected or active on the FastX server. Sessions may display in the session manager even though the session is not connected or active.
- View Logs – Views the logs of the active session
- monitor – Basic monitor logs of the session
- server – Server logs of the session
- stderr – Standard log of the session
- stdout – Standard output log of the session
- xorg – x.org logs from the sever
- Execute Command – Execute a command to the session. (This is for advanced and admin users)
- Fullsceen on Connect (Only in single window mode) – When reconnecting to session, the session displays in full screen mode.
- Settings (Only available in when connected to the session) – Prompts session options window.
- Restore Window (Only available in when connected to the session) – Restores a minimized connected session
- Diagnostics (Only available in when connected to the session) – Provides diagnostics graphs of connected session
- Terminate – Terminates the active session. This will terminate the session from the server.
Create Application
Users can create custom applications that will display when launching a session. Creating a new application will create a new group in Applications called My Applications.
To create an application, click on the 3 vertical line icon located on the right and then select Application. (Application is also under the View dropdown)

Creating a new application
- Click on the New button on the bottom right. This will create a new application template.
- Edit The Name and Command by double clicking on the field that you want to change.
- Double click on the Window Mode field to change the mode to Multiple in a drop down.
- Double click on the Window Size to change the window size of the session once launched. Default Window Size is 1024×768 if this field is left blank.
- Close the window

User created applications will appear under My Application when launching a new session. Click on the My Applications group on the right to display user created applications

Delete user application
To delete a user application, go to the create application window. Click on the x icon on the right of the application that will be deleted. Removing all user’s applications will remove the My Applications group.

Rename active session
Grid Mode
Single click on the active session and then click on the pencil icon to the right of the name of the active session. Edit the name.

List Mode
Single click on the active session and then click on the pencil icon to the right of the name of the active session. Edit the name.
