Window Manager (Fluxbox)

X-Win32 2011 and later ships a window manager fluxbox.exe.  Fluxbox will allow windows to be moved and repositioned when running a non-desktop application is ran in single window mode.

To launch the Fluxbox window manager:

1. Open X-Config
2. Create a New Connection > Manual

3. Select More… > command
   • 
   • 
4. Give the Connection a Name
   • 
5. For the Target, Browse for fluxbox.exe located in the install directory of X-Win32 (example c:\Program Files\StarNet\X-Win32 2024)

6. Press the Save button

7. Launch an X-Win32 session in Single Window Mode
   • Changing the window mode in an X-Win32 session
8. After the session launches in single window mode, right click on the title bar of the session and select “My Connection”

9. Select the Fluxbox connection
   • 
10. The SSH session will display in multiple windows inside a single window. Users can move around the window and launch other windows inside the single window.
