Alt Tabbing in LIVE

Due to the nature of Windows, X-Win32 cannot sent an Alt+Tab command to a LIVE Session. Windows will pick up the Alt+Tab and switch to a different screen before the remote system sees the alt tab command. However, Linux Desktop Environments have the ability to remap the Alt+tab command to a different hot key in order to accomplish the same functionality

Gnome Desktop Environment

  1. Click on System Menu > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts
  2. Select Window Management > Move Between Windows With Popup
  3. Remap your key combination and Save

KDE

  1. Click on KDE Menu > Control Center > Regional & Accessibility > Keyboard Shortcuts
  2. Select System > Navigation > Walk Through Windows
  3. Remap your key combination and Save

Solaris JDS

  1. Click on Launch Menu > Preferences > Desktop Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts
  2. Select Window Management > Move Between Windows With Popup
  3. Remap your key combination and Save
