How to Set a Timeout to Disconnected Session?

Issue

Users disconnect their session(s) instead of terminating them. The disconnected session will still run on the Linux server taking up resources and may impact the Linux server pending the amount of resources available.

Solution

Administrators can set a timeout to disconnect session(s).

  1. Log into FastX via a browser as an administrator
  2. Go to the Admin settings
  3. Go to Sessions > Applications
  4. Edit the desired application by double clicking on the application.
  5. Go to the Settings option
  6. Set the “Terminate session after disconnect timeout” in minutes.
  7. Click on the “Submit” button

The session will timeout when a Users disconnects this session after the set time expires. Users will see this timeout timer on their FastX session manager.
