OpenGL Support for legacy Apps

Some applications will fail because their OpenGL clients do not use the Direct Rendering Interface.  Upgrading your application to the latest version should typically fix the issue as well as make OpenGL run faster.  In the circumstances where upgrading is not possible, FastX can be set to run the older iglx protocol.

Enabling OpenGL for Legacy Apps

  1. Log in to the Web Interface as an Administrator
  2. Click the System Configuration Icon
  3. Select Profiles
  4. Choose a profile to edit
  5. Set Enable OpenGL for Legacy Apps to on
  6. Save the Configuration

This setting can also be configured manually by editing the “iglx” option in

/usr/lib/fastx2/config/session.json
