Resetting the .xw32 Connection File

Note: The following instructions require the user to modify the registry. Do so at your own risk

When working with .xw32 files users may change the Application settings that allow the X-WIn32 session to be launched when oduble clicking the .xw32 file or it’s shortcuts.

To reset the file extension so that xwin32 launches the session:

1. Click on the Start menu
2. Select Run
3. Type regedit in the box (you will need admin rights to manipulate the registry)
4. Click Edit
5. Find
6. xwin32_auto_file
7. delete all instances of the key
