    1. Download the RLM License Server package for Linux 32-bit or 64-bit by clicking on the Linux icon

    2. Create a user with the name rlm and home directory of /opt/rlm

    3. Extract the rlm.x86_l.tar.gz or rlm.x64_l.tar.gz to /opt/rlm with the command

    32-bit

    tar xvpf rlm.x86_l.tar.gz

    64-bit

    tar xvpf rlm.x64_l.tar.gz

    4. Make sure the file rlm.pw is writable by the rlm user

    5. Determine if you are on a systemd system. Run the command

    systemctl

    6. If the output shows many lines, then your system is a systemd system. Are you on a systemd system?

    Go to YES or NO

YESyou are on a systemd system, run the following commands (as root)

1. mv /opt/rlm/rlm.service /etc/systemd/system/
2. systemctl daemon-reload
3. systemctl enable rlm.service
4. systemctl start rlm.service

Your server will now start automatically on boot

NOyou not are on a systemd system, run the following commands (as root)

1. mv /opt/rlm/rlm.init /etc/init.d/
2. 
RedHat:   chkconfig --add rlm
Debian:   systemctl start rlm.service
3. service rlm start

Your server will now start automatically on boot

Note: The RLM License Server installs with an interactive webpage, please go to the following URL

http://localhost:5054

There are two logins: admin and user with no passwords We recommend changing the password after logging in.
